DODSON Mr. Edwin Allen Dodson, 78, of Mansfield died on April 17, 2001. He was the son of the late Van and Elizabeth Dodson. Mr. Dodson was preceded in death by his son, Edwin Allen Dodson, Jr.

A native of Perry County, TN, Mr. Dodson had been a resident of Mansfield for the last 18 years. He served in the Marine Corps in the Pacific in World War II, and was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign, American Campaign and Sharpshooter Medals. He founded Ed's Camper Corner in Stone Mountain in 1969 and retired in 1979. He then founded Ten and B-E Cattle Company and was an award winning herdsmen.

GRATZ Mrs. Carol Jacobs Gratz, Clothing Designer, Artist, and volunteer, age 56 of Roswell, formerly of Philadelphia, died April 16, 2001, following an extended illness.She was a graduate of Cheltenham High School and also graduated from Richmond Professional Institute (now called Virginia Commonwealth University) with a B.S. Degree in Fine Arts. After college she began a clothing design careet in Philadelphia with Villager Corp. and Peters Sportswear.

In 1968 she moved to New York City and became a for London Town Corp. In her 20 year career at London Town she sspent the last 14 years as head designer of London Fog men's outerwear.In 1988 she moved to Atlanta at which time she devoted her energy full time to her lifelong interests in the creative arts and gardening. An accomplished artist and potter whose works were exhibited in numerous shows and sales, she together with her husband applied her talents to the field of antique furniture restoration.It was during this time period that Carol became a devoted volunteer at North Fulton Community Charities where she was able to both give back to her community and to continue her lifelong passion for reaching out to those less fortunate than herself.She is survived by her husband, Lawrence J. (Lon) Gratz, of Roswell; her parents, Mildred P. and Bob M.

Turner and Sons. NORRIS Pearl Leona Norris died April 15, 2001. She was born on November 27, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to Eustace Gurvan White and Gladis Donald Morales. Pearl married Theodore Norris in 1947. Pearl worked for the New York City Transit System from 1954 1984.

They moved to Stone Mountain, Georgia in 1987. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Mike graduated from Trinity College with a B.A. in Applied Fine Arts in 1958. Baseball brought Mike back to his art after an early career in graphic arts and printing. His childhood heroes became his subjects as he created over 100 portraits, often working from his own baseball scrapbooks from the 40's and 50's. His passion for the game and its legends is apparent in all his work.

Mike and his work have been profiled in Sports Illustrated, New York magazine, Print magazine, ESPN's Baseball Magazine, Newsday, The New York Daily News, CNN and Fox Sports. His work is represented in many private collections and the Baseball Hall of Fame permanent collection. Mike's Mudville Diaries, a collection from five years of Fan magazine, was published by Avon Books in March 1996. Mike's smile and enthusiasm brightened the lives of all who met him. He is survived by his wife, Mrs.

Mr. Wiggins was the past president of the International Food Service Executive Association and a lifelong member of the Methodist faith. He was also a life member of the East Atlanta Free Accepted Masons Lodge No. 603 and also the Atlanta Shrine Club. Mr.

Wiggins served in the United States Navy during World War as a member of the Seabees from his enlistment in 1941 until his honorable discharge in 1945. He was stationed in Guadacanal and New Caldonia where he achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer. His survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Belle N.
