Utopia – What’s the final Raft chapter all about?
How do I get to Utopia? To reach Utopia, you must first complete Temperance Island to begin the final part of the third story chapter of Raft. As with other islands, you can find the codes for Utopia on Temperance Island and sail from there to the new island. Note that you need the zipline to fully explore Utopia.
What awaits me on Utopia? Utopia has a few surprises in store for you. You can find two notes as well as three blueprints for the big backpack, the electric zipline and the titanium tools. But the main focus of the location is the fight against the villain Olof, who has captured the inhabitants of the island. Your task is to defeat Olof and free his hostages.
Utopia Walkthrough – How to move around the island most effectively
What is the best way to move around Utopia? Because your progress on Utopia is directly linked to the final battle against Olof, you will not find two blueprints until later. Therefore, we will now explain step by step what you should do as soon as you arrive at Utopia and how to thwart Olof’s sinister plans.
Dettos house and the first blueprint: As soon as you set foot on Utopia, the first place you should go is Dettos house. This is a yellow building with a tall tower that has a map on it. The map shows you where Detto buried his codes (the red circles).
Collect the codes to open the door to Detto’s house. Then, inside, collect the harpoon and the blueprint for the Big Backpack.
Hyenas at the water pump: Now continue to the water pump on the other side of the island. Watch out for the hyenas running around there. If they attack you, you have to defend yourself with a weapon. To start the water pump, you need to find five electric cables lying around the island. Some are on the ground, others you can only reach by climbing up over crates.

Once you have found all the cables, you have to connect the generators by connecting the cables to the electrodes on the roofs of the island. Use the zip line and climb on crates to slide from the highest building to the smaller buildings and connect the cables there. Then climb back up to the tall building with the cable in your hand.
The puzzle with the three water pools: Once you’ve got the pump working, three basins on the island will fill with water – but only if you turn the pipes in the basins correctly to do so. This puzzle should not be too much of a challenge. If you have problems with it, you can find the solution in the video above from minute 13:16.
If you have connected all the pipes correctly, the water tank will fill up and a canister with carbon dioxide will float to the surface. Grab the canister and bring it back to Detto’s house. Now you can climb the tower and fire the harpoon at the top.
Use the rope slide to get to the next platform. Collect the key on the table and take the slide down again. Go past the gate to the big building with the stairs and collect the second key there. Turn around and use the two keys to open the gate.
Raft: Platform Puzzle on Utopia
What happens next? Once you have opened the gate, the next phase of your adventure on Utopia begins. Now you need to use your brains and skills.
Take the elevator to the top, keep to the right and pull the lever. Now keep running until you come to a big fan. Make your way over the blades by jumping – timing is needed here. Grab the hammer behind the rotors and drop down to the elevator. Take the ladder up on the left and smash the lock on the door in front of you with the hammer.

Solve the gear puzzle: Next, another puzzle awaits you. Your task is to bring the cogwheel that is lying on the floor in the room to the top, so that you can put it where you found the hammer before.
To do this, you’ll have to make use of the boxes that are scattered around the room. Place two boxes on the right side of the room near the large wooden crates. Jump on the boxes to make your way up with the cogwheel to the platform with the number 1.
Then place the gear on the platform in front of you. However, you have to balance the weight on the platform so that the gear doesn’t fall down. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Place the counterweight with the number 3 on the top platform.
- Place the counterweight with the number 1 on the first platform and remove the weight with the number 3.
- Place the counterweight with the number 2 on the third platform, and remove the weight with the number 1.
Now you can enter the next area, where a second platform puzzle is waiting for you. Take the gear from the previous room and place it on the right platform. After that you have to balance the weights again to move on:
- Level Six: Place the weight with the number 5.
- Level one: place weight with number 1 and remove weight 5
- Level Five: place weight with number 4 and remove weight 1
- Level Two: Place weight with number 2 and remove weight 4
- Level four: place weight with number 3 and remove weight 2
Now bring the gear over the bridge and to the small platform next to the elevator. Use the lever again to make the gear land in the elevator and jump back there via the rotor blades. Take the gear to repair the elevator and go up.
The final battle against Olof – How to defeat the chief villain
How do I fight against Olof? Now the actual final battle against Olof begins. As soon as you exit the elevator and run down the stairs, you will face a wall. Olof will immediately start throwing bombs at you. Therefore, you should dedicate the bombs while you start stacking crates below Olof’s platform. Climb up over the crates while Olof retreats in front of you.
Collect the key to the warehouse and the blueprint for the Electric Zipline before continuing. Then lower the ladder next to the entrance to the warehouse. If you want, you can replenish your supplies downstairs. Pack some healing ointment to be prepared for the following battles.
When you arrive at the warehouse, Olof will throw bombs at you again. Dodge them while you defeat the hyenas on the ground and stack crates again to reach Olof’s platform. But before you reach the top, the villain escapes a second time.
Defeat the alpha hyena: Because Olof is too cowardly to face you, he sends an alpha hyena ahead. This one attacks you and leaves poisonous puddles on the ground. Also, Olof occasionally feeds the hyena, which makes it temporarily invulnerable. Afterward, the hyena rushes towards you to attack you.
To defeat the hyena, it’s best to avoid its attacks and move backwards while attacking it again and again. Once the hyena is defeated, collect its head and take the elevator up to Olof.
Confront Olof: When you get to Olof, run towards him until he trips and falls through the window in his back. Grab the key hanging around his neck and the blueprint for the Titanium Tool on the balcony. Exit the building and open the locked door with the master key to free the prisoners. Congratulations, you have completed the Raft story.
