Did you know I’m a baseball mom? I am. And I loooove it. So much. Except for baseball belts. Those might kill me before my player leaves my house. Anyways….
I grew up with a brother who played. And then boyfriends who played too. We were Padres fans at my house. Then I married Josh. You will never find a more die hard Dodgers fan. So guess who we root for now? Yep, the ol’ blue and white. We’ve been to Spring Training, arrive early at ball games for signatures, and I wake up to Quick Pitch on tv. It’s been challenging at times, as my oldest isn’t a fan and will quickly make it clear he doesn’t want to be at games. It means we have to make arrangements for me to be able to attend. But it has been such a joy to watch my youngest play and be so passionate about it. I have never met someone more into a sport than that kid. He lives, eats and breathes it. I want to turn Drew’s room into a baseball room. I created a few printables to frame and hang:

Awesome! Yay Dodgers!!! I’m a total baseball mom (my hubby even worked for the Dodgers for a couple seasons!) My oldest son has practice tonight till 8 in the freezing cold that has been the last week and I’m still looking forward to it! Love seeing another mom who loves it! I took my daughter to her first game when she was barely 3 months old. Gotta start em early :) She now is in her 2nd year of tee-ball (she’ll be 6 in 2 weeks) and absolutely loves it. She’s an awesome player too!
Although I do have to say, the new puppy was named Eli (even though it’s a she) because we’re football people too. Go NY Giants! :) So fun Mique! You won’t be surprised to see me commenting here I’m sure. :) We can’t wait until Brody starts playing baseball– then I’ll get to be an official baseball mom, too! Love the printables. I made a couple of those baseball bracelets– super cute! Although mine didn’t lay as flatly as I would have liked.

Oh, we absolutely LOVE baseball in our household!!! Our oldest son (almost 11) eats, sleeps and breathes the sport also!!! He has recently made the switch from rec ball to tournament ball (well, almost…he plays for a team in both leagues for the time being) and his tournament ball coach calls him “Dirt Bag”…says he has never seen a kid love the sport so much that he has a baseball field inside of him! And this coach played Little League, High School, College, Minor League and Major League :) My son has always joked that the blood in his veins is white with red lacing…lol! We recently decorated his room with a baseball theme and absolutely LOVE these prints!!! Thanks so much for sharing them!!! As for our favorite team….CAN’T STOP THE CHOP!!! GO BRAVES!!! This was always my favorite team as a child as well as my husbands, so it just came naturally for the kiddos ;)

Your oldest and my youngest would be fast friends. Drew is the exact same way. In his 1 yr old pictures he was holding a baseball. He was Manny Ramirez for Halloween as a 2 yr old! He was born to love the sport. I’ve never met anyone like him- he floors most adults with his baseball knowledge. It’s nuts. And adorable. I can’t wait to see what he’s like at 11! Drew was just telling me that the Braves are in 1st place right now. So it’s a good year to be a Braves fan! :) Thanks for the comment Misty!

SUPER cute! I love the printables. But HOW can you just switch teams like that?!? I’m from San Diego and my husband is from LA but I would never, EVER root for the Dodgers (or Giants) no matter how bad the Padres are playing (which feels like always). I do love Vin though. I could listen to him call games all day …

Because I’m a traitor! If you can’t beat ’em join ’em? Just kidding. In all seriousness- I have never met a more dedicated fan than my husband. It was a gradual switch. But hearing about it, watching it, etc, etc, eventually I became a fan. I love listening to Vin. And we’ve had great experiences with the Dodgers. My son even got a handwritten letter in the mail from Andre Ethier. As much as we can’t stand the Giants, we love Brandon Crawford because Josh knows him personally and he is such a good guy. I guess I’m a fair weather fan! Yikes. I still give him a hard time if the Pads are playing the Dodgers. ;)
