How much does the thorium mod add? ›

A product of this, the Thorium Mod, is one of the most expansive mods for Terraria. With over 2000 new items, 11 challenging new boss fights, hordes of new enemies, an entirely new biome and even three new classes, you'll soon be unable to play Terraria without the Thorium Mod installed!

Terraria's biggest and most popular mods are all now available on Terraria 1.4. 4, with Calamity, Thorium, and Starlight River all jumping to the new tModLoader.

Thorium + Calamity Convergence Mod converges the progression and reduces the redundancy that happens when both mods kinda do the exact same thing. There's new recipe trees, maybe sometimes new recipes entirely for items, and FINALLY no identical vertebrae > leather recipe gosh dang it.

Feel It Below Your Feet. Tremor is credited as being one of the biggest mods ever to come to Terraria and was made using the tModLoader, which makes it easier to add to your game. It's designed to expand the base world of Terraria by adding a bunch of new content in almost every area for you to find and experience.

The Strongest Link is a Pre-Hardmode sentry summon weapon that has a chance to be found in locked Gold Chests in the Dungeon, alongside normal dungeon items; it can also be obtained from Golden Lock Boxes. It spawns a Spinning Spike Ball whose central pivot point is tethered to the tile it was summoned on.

The Rain Stone is a event-summoning item that is found in Depth Chests within the Aquatic Depths. It is used to start the Rain event and it can be used at any time, but at the cost of 20 mana. The rain will last 5 minutes on average. If used while there is already rain, it will stop the rain.

As such, it is up to the player's discretion to adjust the angle at which they tackle the different bosses, ensuring they are able to enjoy fighting them to the best degree. In total, the Thorium Mod adds 6 new Pre-Hardmode bosses, 5 new Hardmode bosses, and 3 new mini-bosses.

The Calamity Mod offers much more than standard Terraria mods and can be more accurately described as a total overhaul. It adds an incredible amount of new content to the game, including everything from bosses to crafting recipes to biomes.

Is Calamity Mod harder than vanilla? ›

Mostly identical to vanilla, with some additional vanilla changes to the difficulty that are configurable. The intended Calamity experience, introducing new mechanics, boss AI, and other assorted changes. A more difficult challenge for those looking to prove themselves. Not recommended for a first playthrough.

The Calamity Mod changes several details regarding vanilla Terraria content, ranging from the order in which bosses can be fought in to which items are sold by NPCs. It also changes multiple vanilla item recipes.
