Aaron Judge singled in a run in the 11th, but that was all the Yankees could muster before a season-high crowd of 48,048, the fourth sellout of the year for the AL-best Yankees (45-20, first in the AL East).

“Feeding off the crowd I think is what made it special,” Judge told The Associated Press. “It was packed tonight and they were on their feet from the very first pitch all the way into extra innings.”
Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched seven scoreless innings of three-hit ball in his Yankee Stadium debut, his velocity reaching a season high. Anthony Banda, Blake Treinen, Daniel Hudson, Michael Grove (4-2) and Yohan Ramírez finished up to earn the Dodgers (40-25, first in the NL West) the win.
Mookie Betts has 14 doubles, three triples and 10 home runs for the Dodgers while Freddie Freeman is 12-for-36 with two doubles, a triple, three home runs and eight RBI over the last 10 games.
The Dodgers now are 19-13 on the road and have a collective .334 on-base percentage, the best percentage in the majors.
Despite Ohtani recent struggles due to back and hamstring issues, they are on a roll. Ohtani went 0 for 5 and was repeatedly booed in Friday night’s game and is hitting .195 with three homers and 10 RBIs since May 16, dropping his season average from .364 to .312.
As for the red-hot Yankees, who are 8-2 in their last 10 games, Juan Soto has 11 doubles, three triples and 17 home runs while hitting .318 for the Yankees. Aaron Judge is 13-for-34 with two doubles, a triple and four home runs over the past 10 games.
Right fielder Juan Soto, bothered by a sore left forearm, missed his first game of the season for the Yankees. A scan showed just inflammation, and he is day to day.
